Organisational Change Management

Client Requirement:

A large Hospice in Yorkshire was required to make significant financial savings to ensure its long term sustainability.  This required a large scale restructuring programme to be conducted.

The service provided by our Consultant:

Lindsay was commissioned as HR Change Manager to lead this large scale restructuring programme.  Lindsay worked with the Charity to develop a series of suitable proposals to redesign the structure of the organisation ensuring greater efficiencies.  This also involved making a series of redundancies at all levels within the organisation.

Following this change programme the Charity was keen to invest in a programme of employee engagement, therefore Lindsay was asked to lead a number of other pieces of work including the development of a Staff Engagement Strategy, the development of the organisation’s People Strategy and HR Business Plan, work on the reward and retention of employees and a full review of the organisation’s terms and conditions of employment.

The Outcome:

The outcome of this piece of piece of work was an annual saving of over £400,000 for the organisation.  This was achieved through Lindsay successfully leading the change and working alongside the Senior Management team, Heads of Department and the HR Team to ensure the changes were delivered in a way which minimised disruption to the business and was legally compliant.

Further work demonstrated an increase in levels of staff engagement, investment in employees and the achievement of ongoing savings and efficiencies.
